I stumbled across one of the greatest pieces of bakelite I’ve ever seen, a tiki face purse clasp. I loved it so much that I wanted to reproduce it in some way so others can enjoy it’s fabulous style!
I made a mold to copy the tiki head exactly, and then carefully shaped the piece by hand to get it as close to the original as possible.
Made from polymer clay and glazed to have that “bakelite” like shine. Available as a brooch, pendant, or hair clip (select below).
This piece has all the charm of the original without the hefty price tag! This item comes in a chocolate brown. If you would like another color (like black, blue, red, green, I can do about any color) please send us an email to ask about color availability.
